Hoboken Painter’s Recent Visit at Jen’s Apartment
Hoboken Painter recently visited the apartment of Hoboken Girl founder, Jen Tripucka to add a little spice to her home office with a bold accent wall.
“I was feeling so bored with my white walls and desk area in our 2nd bedroom/office — really looking for a ‘pop’ of color to liven things up a bit.
Here’s the before:
The process was seamless; I picked my color on the Benjamin Moore spectrum, shared it via email, and voila — Hoboken Painter’s team showed up on painting day at 8AM, ready to go. I chatted with Aryun who helped make sure the project was started without a hitch, and then the team taped up and secured the area, covered any valuables, and got to work once the paint was delivered.
We opted for a Gravel Gray accent wall, and then Hoboken Painter spruced up my current three walls with a fresh coat.
I was honestly blown away, truly not just saying this, with the craftsmanship + abilities of the painter! Francisco was super particular with his work, quick, and my room has never looked better. He patched holes, smoothed surfaces — I barely recognize the place.
And just because: He painted my front door (which my dog had terribly scratched at the bottom), too. The customer service and attention to detail is, in my opinion, the most important part of a paint job, and Hoboken Painter did just that. I’m thinking of having them back to paint my other bedroom now — it’s addicting what a fresh coat of paint does for a mood!”
How Hoboken Painter Came to Be
Nick Kryvenka immigrated to the United States from Belarus where he worked as a senior researcher in the Belarusian State Academy of Sciences. He launched Hoboken Painter in 2009 and was recently joined by his son, Yuriy, in 2020. Strongly influenced by his 10 years working at Amazon, Yuriy is passionate about achieving complete customer satisfaction.
“We are a small family-owned interior painting company. We really believe in customer satisfaction and have the most 5-star reviews of any painting business in Hoboken + Jersey City,” Yuriy told Hoboken Girl. “A lot of our customers are actually repeat customers, who change apartments, move into a house, and relocate to a new town. We use the latest (read:safest) paints and materials to keep your family and our painters safe and healthy.”
A Family Affair
At Hoboken Painter, the whole family is involved in the day-to-day operations and often works together on projects. The team includes Nick, the original founder, and painter-in-chief, his wife Alla, his son and daughter-in-law Yuriy + Aryuna, and occasionally his grandson Wiktor.
As a team, Hoboken Painter makes it easy-peasy for local residents: free virtual estimates, reliable scheduling, and no hidden fees.
Environmentally-Friendly + Safe Paints
For those who are not a fan of the paint smells that go along with painting, fear not — Benjamin Moore eco-friendly paints is the go-to for Hoboken Painter — containing zero VOCs and zero emissions. The Eco SpecⓇ is tinted with Benjamin Moore’s proprietary GennexⓇ zero VOC colorant system, which makes it an ideal choice when an environmentally responsible paint is required.
“As clients we see many young families buying their first homes and being really excited to start a new life in Hoboken. Working with contractors can be an ordeal, so we strive to be reliable, fully transparent, and ultimately provide the best painting experience,” Yuriy mentioned. “Besides regular on-site estimates, we provide virtual estimates via Zoom or FaceTime. If we have you scheduled for a certain date, we guarantee that we will start on that date.”
At the close of each project, clients have the option to keep the remaining paint for touch-ups (which is clutch!), but any unused paint is donated to local artists or local charities. In 2022, Hoboken Painter plans to be the first painting company in Hudson County to use an electric van. The company is also scheduled to install solar panels in its home office.
